What is Studioso? Quite simply; a concept, an interface design, a blog, and a forum. These combined elements constituted 50% of a module (from a total of eight) from my final year of a Business Information Management degree.

The module required the design and implementation of a product. I’m fascinated with the whole social networking/social web service industry and, as such, decided to propose a new idea for a social web application service, design a front-end interface (with which to visualise the concept), and to build a community support system (blog and forum).

Studioso.com was an idea for a social studio platform through which recording artists could make more out of the songs/tracks/mixes that are only really represented by application-branded icons strewn across their recording workstation.

The main interface design (which you’ll probably have already seen if you’ve made it to this blog post) was my first attempt at building a social web interface. I appreciate that there is much room for improvement, particularly in terms of flexibility (altering font sizes), accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility, and I’m more than happy to hear any comments, suggestions, and criticisms you might have. However, I am happy with the final design, and intend to use it as an means of generating feedback from people in the industry, and as a platform/testing-ground for trying out new interface ideas/features.

As I’ve already stated, I’d appreciate any comments you might have, and feel free to check out the discussion forum or main interface.
