About
Studioso is an interface design for a social studio platform. It was produced for a University project, and is intended to demonstrate an idea for a new social web service. Studioso isn't a fully functioning web application (it doesn't have any dymanic scripting or database interaction), so you'll notice there is some key functionality missing from the interface, e.g. the ability to play and record music. This is intentional. For the moment, at least, Studioso will remain as an example of web interface design, although this may change in the future.
Studioso.com isn't just a prototype interface, it also has a blog and a discussion forum. Both of these features can be vital for web startups and, therefore, have been included with the main interface as an example of how a new social web app would build in community functionality, outside of the main service, in order to properly maintain the customer community.
Check the blog and the discussion forum for more information on the development of the project.
Studioso was produced in collaboration with the fictional 'Creative Media' consultancy (another University project). Studioso was used as an example of how the consultancy might suggest an area within which it could help a potential client to communicate new products and services, e.g. a music software company looking to leverage new social web trends.
